Our award-winning theatre programs at the Riverdale Y are seen by thousands of people each year. If you have an interest in theatre, either onstage or off, we have something for you! Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 5 from 12-7PM, (Children from 12:00-4:00 ONLY) Tuesday, September 7 & Sunday, September 12 from 4:00- 9:00PM (BOTH days Children from 4:00-6:00 ONLY) Please pay close attention to those age minimums as you prepare your auditions. ***ALL AUDITIONS MUST BE SCHEDULED ONLINE AT RIVERDALEY.ORG*** JR. RISING STARS: (ages 7-10) HONK!, JR. - a touching pop musical based on the story of the Ugly Duckling; with a happy ending, of course! HONK! won London's Olivier award for best musical JR. RISING STARS (ages 11-14) "13", by Jason Robert Brown- This recent Broadway Musical hit is by the composer of PARADE , THE LAST FIVE YEARS and SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. With humor and pathos, these 13 year olds deal with the issues of puberty, friendship, parents, etc. RIVERDALE RISING STARS (ages 12-18) - PIPPIN -this Stephen Schwartz favorite is a coming of age story with popular songs such as "Magic To Do" and "Corner of the Sky".
